Flea Market

Colleen Luntzel of Designing dna has come up with a brilliant idea–one that will satisfy our thrill for the hunt and give us all a great reason to spend some money.  Colleen is organizing an online, virtual blog Flea Market Round-Up!  There are vendors galore lined up to sell their treasures and the proceeds will go to Samaritan’s Purse to help fund their program to rebuild the homes that were destroyed in Hurricane Katrina and the floods in Atlanta (yes, there are many who still need assistance).

No need to travel or leave the comfort of home…just grab your cup of tea, log on and start shopping.

Date: Saturday, March 20 and Sunday, March 21

Where: designingdna.blogspot.com

Highlights: 50 vendors, chandelier auction, cupcake walk…and more!

Chirp! Christopher Peacock
and the Academy Awards

No Comments 06 March 2010

For the eighth year in a row, the Academy Awards Green Room at the Kodak Theatre will feature Christopher Peacock Paint. Designed by Roger Thomas and presented by Architectural Digest, the room draws inspiration from the 1930’s, a golden era for film! The floor pays homage to the many floors Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers danced, twirled and tapped upon. The polished black tiles are spattered with Peacock paint colors Camouflage, Stick, Darby, Brick, Medium Brown and Drab. Tonight’s Academy Award winners will be dancing for joy on them soon.
