Jodi Murphy, interior design and architecture enthusiast, brings her creative thoughts and pioneer spirit to Nesting Newbies Magazine and Network.

Jodi Murphy began her career in high-tech corporate marketing, working on new-product launches, public relations, collateral development, and advertising campaigns. While starting her family, she became a freelance marketing specialist for more flexibility. Soon she turned her creativity, superior organizational skills and attention- to-detail into formulas for successful business solutions for such companies as Motorola, Reebok, Apple, Barry Bonds, Liquid Audio and Spieker Properties. The scope of her projects included marketing programs, publicity campaigns, project management and event planning.

Murphy has always been an interior design and architecture enthusiast, so she began using her expertise for the benefit of the American Society of Interior Designers in Northern California and several high-end design firms. For many years she has been a panel leader at the San Francisco Design Center’s Winter Markets and has contributed to California Home and Design, SFDC’s 3D, and Ranch & Coast magazines. She currently writes for Gentry Magazine and Gentry Design.

Nesting Newbies™ is one several brands she is developing with Lea McIntosh. Murphy manages the marketing communications and writes all the text for the website. She is the magazine’s editor, writing the stories and overseeing each issue’s content.

Murphy believes that her career has led her to this moment: a dynamic partnership with Lea McIntosh and their shared passion for the creative endeavor!
