The Innovators: Ghost Nest Custom Knobs

Comments Off 29 October 2010

We love the fact that technology is allowing such creative people the ability to create and offer such innovative products for our homes! The beautiful homes we drool over in magazines are inspirational, but for most of us unreachable…because custom design typically means costly. Ghost Nest allows us to add our own individuality through custom hardware at a VERY reasonable price (happy dance!).

You use their easy Dreamerator (cute!) to upload and edit your own images and art. But if you’re not artistically inclined, they have a community of clever ones from around the world…and you can pick their designs. Hey! you could become one of the clever ones, too, as they encourage you to share your designs…and win $100 gift certificate.

Here’s a sample of just one page in their gallery space, and we are already seeing several that interest us (oh decisions, decisions).

Artist GreeneBean from Fremont California…you rock! Each of your designs is like a little piece of pop art…

Thank you Ghost Nest for letting us all express ourselves in a cabinet knob (so cool).

Pillow Parade! Photographik on Etsy

6 Comments 28 October 2010

Kim Johnson believes in beauty, but not at the expense of our beautiful environment! Her whimsical chic pillows are made with 100% recycled plastic bottle felt…and the embellishments come from vintage fabrics, natural unbleached cotton, recycled buttons and felted old sweaters. You’ll find plenty of her “recycled goodness” on Photographik, her etsy shop.

We’re putting a few of our favorites on parade!
